Library Fundraiser
The library fundraiser was a huge success! Not only in raising funds for the library, but as a fun gathering for the whole community. Everyone enjoyed live music and delicious spaghetti, meatballs, bread and salad. The competition really heated up for the silent auction items, the bingo game, and especially for the purchase of homemade pies!
A huge, heartfelt thank you goes out to the ladies who put this all together: Lisa Robertson, Molly Nemetz, Lucyna Shefter and Maggie Banks. And another huge thank you to all the people who donated to the library, whether at the event or silently behind the scenes. You are all very much appreciated!
Library
The library is now closed for the season, but the book club still continues. Book Club will meet Thursday October 10 at 10am at the Branding Iron (10:00 on 10/10 - do you think we can get 10 people?) The book to be discussed is “Braiding Sweetgrass: Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge and the Teachings of Plants” by Robin Wall Kimmerer
BAAM
Saturday October 12 is the date for the next Bondurant Art and Agriculture Market and it will be a great one!
Besides all the wonderful items they usually have, there will also be a Pumpkin Patch and Fall Festival! They will have 800 lbs of pumpkins to purchase for all your pumpkin needs, as well as live music, games and a bonfire.
The BCC will also be there with a table to sign up new members, sell BCC cookbooks, and for people to look at a list of county brands that will be featured on napkins for sale in the future (check to see if yours is there!).
Saturday Oct 12 from 10am to 2pm at the Branding Iron. Don’t miss it!
