Barn Dance 2012

Revelers enjoy beef tacos Saturday, July 28, 2012: The Library's second Barn Dance was another fun time for all. Although both Sublette County and Teton County Fairs were also underway that evening, a solid group of fun-loving Library supporters came out to enjoy good times with friends and neighbors, right.

With endless patience and good humor, Dancers Workshop's B.J. Reed and Jan-Marie Hobart taught the crowd to line dance. And what a hoot it was! A few toes were inadvertently bruised during the melee, but nobody was seriously injured. And - by golly - we got pretty good after awhile!

LEGENDS Local favorite Legends, left, provided live music for dancing. The band knows what the crowd likes...

Silent Auction art offerings Left, the silent auction brought excitement and some good-natured competition...

All in all, the evening was a fun time and a successful Library fundraiser. Thanks, all who attended!

Barn Dance 2011

Saturday, September 10, 2011: The first Barn Dance was a huge success and lots of fun for all!

Held at the Heart-2-Heart Ranch in downtown Bondurant, the event featured music by Marilyn Filkins with Shelly & Kelly, and square-dance caller Gene Bauer.

Kids enjoyed dinner prepared by Cindy: plate-sized edible campfires (you had to see it to believe it), classic Mac-n-Cheese and frothy punch. And they were not shy about joining the dancing! It seemed each square had at least one pair of kids dancing with their classmates or their parents, right.

Adults tapped their toes then took to the floor:

Between dances many bought Raffle tickets and entered the friendly competition of the Silent Auction. As the dancing heated up folks refreshed themselves with sandwiches, sodas and cookies, and sips from their own BYOB stashes.

The event was a grand way to usher in fall, and to benefit the Library restoration project. Thanks to these folks:

Thanks to everyone who contributed in every way, we will begin the Phase 2 restoration in October 2011!

We are already making plans for next summer's Barn Dance. Anyone who wishes to volunteer their ideas or their labor, we would be thrilled to have you! Contact Margy, Pat, or Anne.
